Utilize computer assistierted detection to mark suspecte areas. At a sensitivity level of over 98% you will miss almost no microcalcification cluster. Enhancement of microcalcifications you will find only at image diagnost. This feature simplifies the task of determining the shape of a cluster.
Better detection rates
Computer assistance has proven to be a particularly effective method to improve diagnostic accuracy. Because survival rates are greater if cancer is detected at an early stage, it is vital to detect it as early as possible. For example, microcalcifications are a very early sign of breast cancer. Indeed, they can be the only sign of a carcinoma. Thus it is of vital importance to detect them reliably.
One central CAD-server for multiple systems
We designed our CAD system with large breast centers in mind. Here modalities from several vendors need to be interoperable. Thus the CAD is designed to be flexible enough to handle different imaging technologies such as FFDM, CR and secondary capture. one central unit can provide CAD for several mammography units and workstations. This reduces costs and enables centers to provide CAD services to external partners.
