Go digital - step by step

Benefit from digital reporting and archiving with your existing conventional unit. Get used to softcopy-reading and introduce digital workflows to your facility. Share images to external partners. You may attach a direct-digital modality later on, when you are ready for that investment. The digitizer will still be needed to digitize prior exams that patients bring with them from external sites.
The DigitizingStation for conventional mammography unit enables you to utilize the advantages of digital reporting. The station has a sophisticated user interface to digitize mammograms with minimum user interaction. Examinations are stored as DICOM - with all attributes automatically set correctly.

Speed

Do you still think that digitizing is complicated?
The DigitizingStation reduces the process to simple steps: Select the patient from the worklist, put the exams in the multifeeder, use drag-and-drop and control the result. That's it. The result is sent simultaneously to a workstation and a PACS-archive or you can store the DICOM files on DICOM media such as CD/DVD.

Best quality

Using a dedicated mammo digitizer with 10 lp/mm and over 4.0 optical density, the quality of digitized film outperforms CR or direct digital units that have lower spatial resolution. The quality complies with European guidelines and is accepted for softcopy-reading.
Of course there is a physical loss compared to the information stored in the original film. But this is more than compensated for by postprocessing options. Using the image diagnost MammoWorkstation you can easily identify the finest details in suspect areas - without straining your eyes with a magnification glass or bright-light.
